Honey helps in burns and wound healing

Honey is a sweet, sticky, yellowish-brown fluid made by bees and other insects from nectar collected from flowers. It is one of the oldest sweetener,  we are  using nowadays too. Not only because of sweetness, honey having lot of things like antioxidants, helps to reduce cholesterol levels, to reduce blood pressure as well as healing property. 
In my childhood, I was craze about honey, because my grandmother is usually giving a mixture of egg and honey for relieving from cold, you know one thing it was very accurate for my cough in that period, it was very tasty also.





Applying honey to the skin has been used to heal wounds and burns since ancient Egypt as well as in India, and is still being used today. It helps in lot of ways to heal the burns and wounds especially diabetic wounds 
This review of lot of studies in 2015, found that it is most effective at healing partial thickness burns and wounds that have become infected after surgery .
It is also an effective treatment for diabetic foot ulcers, which are very serious complications and can lead to amputation .
One study reported a 43.3% success rate with honey as a wound treatment. In another study, topical honey healed a whopping 97% of patients being treated for their diabetic ulcers .
Researchers believe that its healing powers come from its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, as well as its ability to nourish the surrounding tissue .
What's more, it can help treat other skin conditions, including psoriasis, hemorrhoids and herpes lesions .
