Niagra falls- glittering visitor's heart

Niagara Falls is located in Ontario city, Canada. It is located on the western bank of the Niagara River in the Golden Horseshoe region of Southern Ontario, with a population of 88,071 at the 2016 census. The municipality was incorporated on 12 June 1903. We can do lot of things over there, two famous bridges, one famous island, lot of parks and etc

From the Niagara River, the water passes over the falls, before flowing around 23 km (14 miles) north into the final of the Great Lakes; Lake Ontario. From here there is yet another river, the St. Lawrence, and then it's final resting place in the form of the Atlantic Ocean.

Niagara Falls are located 20 minutes (17 miles / 27 km) north of Buffalo, New York on the American side, and about 90 minutes south of Toronto, Ontario (75 miles / 121 km) on the Canadian side.

Niagara Falls consists of two waterfalls on the Niagara River, which marks the border between New York and Ontario, Canada: the American Falls, located on the American side of the border, and the Canadian or Horseshoe Falls located on the Canadian side.

The Horseshoe Falls has a water fall of 53 meters (173 feet) to the pool at the base of the Falls and is 2,200 feet (670 m) in width. The speed of the Niagara River at the crest of the Horseshoe Falls is 20-22 miles per hour (32-35 km/h) at the apex.

They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.  Niagara Falls was formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean.

Father Louis Hennepin - The first European to document the area was a French priest, Father Louis Hennepin. During a 1678 expedition, he was overwhelmed by the size and significance of Niagara Falls. When he returned to France, Hennepin published an account of his travels in "A New Discovery."
